The 2025 National Shorthorn Show & Sale has concluded;  77/101 bulls sold to a top of $40,000 and averaged $8636.  7/10 heifers sold to a top of $16,000 averaging $7929.  2/2 PTIC recipients sold to $7500 and averaged $5750, and 1/1 semen package sold for $80/straw.  Mr Ivan Price, Moongool Charolais from Yuleba, Queensland judged the ‘Show’ component of the event.

Society breeders were successful with purchases made from Queensland and NSW, with the Junior & Grand Champion Bull (Roly Park Up The Ante) a roan August 2023 bull being secured by the Southern Family of Queensland who also purchased Roly Park Unbelievable, a March 2023 drop bull.  The stud was also successful in securing the Champion Breeders Group of 3 Bulls (Lambell MacKinnon Trophy), and the Most Successful Exhibitor.

Lot 27 North Eastern Abel, a roan May 2023 drop bull was secured by major buyers Merriwee Pastoral at Condobolin NSW, whilst Lot 106, Angledoon Union, another roan September 2023 drop bull was secured by M Passmore of Grenfell, NSW;  Lot 126 heifer Angledoon RNP Cloudy also sold into NSW.

On the female front Lot 125 – Spencer Family Augusta Fool was awarded the Grand Champion Female, and subsequently sold to members Ian and Lucia Briggs of Wakefield Shorthorns at Groomsville, Queensland.  The Reserve Champion Female, Lot 138 Ronelle Park FW Nandi was purchased by the Malton Shorthorn Stud.
